What We Can Certify, and What We Cannot
Buyers ask for CE, DoC and COC in one sentence. We hold two of the three. Here is exactly what goes into the document folder, and where the gap is.
Three Documents, Three Different Answers
CE Certificate
Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, Annex VIII. Issued by UDEM on 15 July 2026, valid until 14 July 2031. Covers the golf cart range as machinery.
AvailableDeclaration of Conformity
The manufacturer declaration that accompanies the CE certificate. Send it to your customs broker or port authority as the companion document.
Available on requestCertificate of Conformity (vehicles)
A COC is issued for type-approved road vehicles. Our carts are CE-marked machinery, not type-approved cars, so we cannot issue one — and we will say so in writing rather than promise it.
Not availableBattery Transport Documents
Lead-acid is the standard fit. Lithium is optional and carries more paperwork — mention it at quotation stage, because it changes the freight quote.
Lead-acid SDS
A 10-page safety data sheet for the 6-EVF-100A battery, sections 1 to 16, including transport classification and emergency measures.
Sea transport declaration
A 5-page report confirming the battery is not restricted for sea freight under the declared packing. Most carriers ask for it before booking.
Lithium (optional)
Lithium packs ship with a UN38.3 test summary and MSDS, and need a longer lead time.
What We Test, What We Photograph
Road test
Every cart is driven, braked and steered on the factory yard before packing.
Charge check
The onboard charger is tested on 110 V and 220 V input where the destination requires it.
Photo record
Photos and video of each unit, serial plate included, sent before crating.
Crate check
Sealed KD crates photographed with the packing list attached.
What Arrives With the Container
| Document | When it arrives |
|---|---|
| Commercial invoice & packing list | Digital copy first, paper with the shipment |
| Bill of lading | Telex release or original, your choice |
| CE certificate & DoC | PDF copy, sent before the container leaves |
| Battery SDS & sea declaration | PDF copy, requested by most carriers |
| Certificate of origin | On request, for preferential duty |
| Insurance certificate | Only under CIF terms |
CE covers placing the cart on the market as machinery. Registering it for public roads — LSV rules in the United States, national approval in the EU — happens in your country, by you. We supply the technical file; we cannot homologate a cart in your market.
Ask for the Certificate Pack
Tell us the destination country and we will send the certificates that customs there actually asks for — no more, no less.
